2014 RECOGNITION DINNER
On October 22, 2014, more than 120 people gathered at the Yale Club, New York City to celebrate 25th Anniversary of a pioneering geriatric psychiatry training program — a collaboration of Montefiore Medical Center and Albert Einstein College of Medicine with Margaret Tietz Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, supported by the New York Foundation for Eldercare.
The honorees were Gary J. Kennedy, M.D., Director, Division of Geriatric Psychiatry, Montefiore Medical Center and Albert Einstein College of Medicine; Melinda S. Lantz, M.D., Chief of Geriatric Psychiatry, Mount Sinai Beth Israel Medical Center; and Alessandra Scalmati, M.D., Ph.D., Psychiatrist, Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, Montefiore Medical Center; and the Margaret Tietz Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, a member of CenterLight Health System. We were honored to have Rita Cosby, Emmy award-winning TV and radio host to emcee the event and Jonathan Bowles, Executive Director, Center for an Urban Future join us as a keynote speaker.
The event included a musical performance by members of Arts in Action, a student-led club at the Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music and the Arts, whose mission is to bring the artistic talent of students to the greater community.
